This is my fursona, Tachyon Feathertail, as drawn by Millislim. I haven’t written a story about him yet, although I did try before I decided I liked writing for other people better. Maybe someday I’ll post the results!

I think your fursona can be a powerful metaphor, for who you are and who you would like to be. So it’s ironic that I chose a tree swallow as mine because I liked how a plushie based on the species looked. (In my defense, it was a really nice plushie!) The name Tachyon comes from a character I used to write for, as well as the tree swallow’s latin name, while Feathertail was suggested as a last name by a fur called Kaloyan Alett.

I started Become Your Fursona after it became clear that my stories needed a permanent home. Until then I’d just been writing for people on forums, and I wanted to tell them to tell their friends I was taking requests and commissions … but where could I tell them to send people? Thus, becomeyourfursona.com was created! My mate, Yurodivy, helps out a lot with it, and I believe she is taking commissions and requests also. ^.^
