This is going to be an interesting story to read! Sci-fi and TF fiction! (not to mention fuzzy things! ^_^) all mixed together.

The idea of the eidolic toxicosis has tickled my fancy as its rare for such a sci-fi-ish setting to focus on a spiritual aspect of existence. Yet simlutaneously rendering it as a scientific (and thus studyable and therefore probably controllable) thing. I'm not sure if you are going that way, but thinking of the possibilities is quite exciting.

Oh wait *remembers the Eidolic Hedge thing* I assume thats some sort of barrier of... eidolic energy?, produced by a machine... Hmm yes I really like that idea of it being studied and controlled, and it being used a weapon. :D

I'm also intrigued at idea that Corrine *thought* she heard the soldiers shouting 'Protect the Civilians' as the previous descriptions of the military implied they were not going to care for them, they were just being rounded up to be sequestered on another world. It stands out to me... it seems to show that at least the lower echelons of the military still care about the people and that perhaps there maybe some good in this world. OR the solider is just saying that as he wants to protect valuable assets. (But I much prefer the former idea than the latter.)

A minor niggle: I somehow don't imagine Maglevs 'Lurching' when they start/stop.. lurching on normal trains comes from the fact that usually only the front and back cars have engines/motors, with the associated un-synchronized movement of the carriages. I was thinking the maglevs would smoothly accelerate and 'lift off' the ground when starting up, and for when they loose power @ +500km/h... uncrermiounsly fall to the ground with a big thump, (RL maglevs only hover at 1-2 inches IIRC) but scrape along the guide rail for at least 8-10 minutes... with a LOT of noise, sparks and shaking (and extensive superstructure damage *gleee!*)

Haha anyway, I hope to read the later chapters and I hope these comments are useful :3

First thing I have to say is that you are wonderful with first-person. Honest. <3

I was captured and intrigued from the first paragraph. The interaction between Corrine(resist, must resist...) and Leander was very nice(Leander is adorable, and so are his plushies. x3) and I can already sympathize with them both. I also really want to find out what happens to them.

You've also kept to your dystopic reputation. I haven't seen much yet, but I can already tell that this world is a very different and very dark place. Skinchangers remind me of Reavers for some reason, or maybe something else I can't put my finger on. They have their obvious differences of course, but that doesn't make them any less exciting.

Over all, great job and keep up the good work. You too Feathertail. ;)
